We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer

You'll make a difference by:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines (ELT) on modern cloud platforms (especially Snowflake)
  • Define and evolve the target data architecture (Data Warehouse / Data Platform) in alignment with business and IT strategy
  • Establish and implement data modeling standards, naming conventions, and architectural guidelines across domains
  • Build and optimize performant data models (staging, core/transform, mart layers) following standard processes
  • Implement and continuously improve CI/CD processes for dbt projects (deployment, testing, versioning)
  • Ensure high data quality through testing frameworks, constraints, monitoring, and data quality checks
  • Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production data pipelines
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents while continuously improving platform stability
  • Optimize performance of SQL transformations and data workflows
  • Translate sophisticated business requirements into scalable technical data solutions with measurable impact
  • Collaborate closely in a Data Mesh Setup with data analysts, architecture teams, and business collaborators in the Domain Project to deliver data-driven use cases
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and actively shape data engineering standard processes
  • Support user adoption through documentation, knowledge sharing, and enablement initiatives.

You'll win us over by:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering
  • Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (preferably Snowflake)
  • Practical experience with dbt (ideally dbt Cloud)
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable data architectures and solutions
  • Deep understanding of modern data architectures (ELT principles, layered approach, Data Mesh, data products)
  • Proven experience in building scalable data pipelines and data models
  • Experience with data quality frameworks, monitoring, and governance concepts
  • Experience in defining data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
  • Experience working in multi-functional teams (IT, business stakeholders, external partners)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
  • Familiarity with Cloud services (e.g., AWS: S3, Glue)
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and reporting solutions
  • Basic understanding of AI use cases and data preparation (e.g. Snowflake Cortex Semantic Models)
  • Experience in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience in defining or working with enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Domain knowledge in areas such as Project & Finance
