We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong ownership mindset and hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Python, and enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions while working closely with engineering and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a data management specialist responsible for developing, organizing, storing, and analyzing large-scale data systems
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC for Snowflake solutions including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and QA
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement optimal data solutions
- Ensure high standards of platform performance, scalability, uptime, and code quality
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, document fixes, and implement preventive measures
- Manage deliverables effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Follow best practices in software engineering, CI/CD, and automated testing
Required Skills & Expertise
Must Have
- 810 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise data solutions
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Python
- Proven experience in Snowflake data warehouse design and development
- Minimum 3 years of experience building production-ready data ingestion and processing pipelines using Spark and Scala
- Strong experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Informatica, Automic
- Good understanding of metadata management and data lineage
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL analytical functions
Good to Have
- Experience in Shell scripting and Java scripting
- Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and performance engineering
- Familiarity with Git, Confluence, and Jira
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
