Role: Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview:We are seeking a senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience to lead a critical data modernization project. You willbe responsible formigratingthe entire data structures and schema fromOracle (on-prem/legacy)toMicrosoft SQL Server on Azure.This role requires a specialist who understands the nuances of Oracle PL/SQL and canarchitecta performant, relational environment in Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end migration of data tables from Oracle to Azure SQL Server.
- ReviewData schema and suggest any improvement in the new schema in Azure MS SQL
- Enforcedata integrity by implementing Primary Keys, Foreign Keys, and proper table associations during the migration process.
- Rewrite Oracle-specific views and stored procedures into T-SQLoptimizedfor Azure.
- Ensurethe migrated SQL Server environment is indexed correctly for business reporting.
Technical Requirements:
- Expertisein Oracleincluding deep knowledge of PL/SQL, schema design, and Oracle data types.
- Azure SQL Proficiency:Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server on Azure andAzure Data Factory (ADF).
- Migration Tools:Familiarity withSSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant)or similar ETL tools.
- Ability to work overlapping hours with U.S. time zones for sprint syncsasrequired.
- Preferred Certification - Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate.
