About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions supporting enterprise analytics initiatives. The role will involve developing advanced data pipelines, managing large-scale datasets, and delivering insights to support business decision-making for global insurance operations.
The candidate will work closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to create high-performance data platforms and enable data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure data services.
- Work extensively with Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric to build scalable data solutions.
- Develop and manage data schemas, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouse structures.
- Build and maintain automation scripts and data processing frameworks to support large datasets.
- Navigate complex enterprise data warehouse environments and organize information to generate business insights.
- Translate business definitions and requirements into structured data models and analytics solutions.
- Collect, merge, and cleanse data from multiple sources to solve complex business problems.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment of data solutions.
- Use statistical and analytical methods to derive insights and improve business performance.
- Create and maintain interactive visualizations and reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing data processes and develop improved data handling protocols.
- Collaborate with business units, data scientists, and architects to accelerate data-driven initiatives.
- Execute tasks independently and recommend improvements to existing systems and workflows.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft Fabric
- Experience working with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PySpark
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) preferred
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Insurance or Financial Services domain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in enterprise data warehouse environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
