Senior Data Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines (batch & real-time)
• Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse Architectures
• Ensure high data quality, reliability, and governance across pipelines
• Optimize data processing workflows for performance and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product teams to enable data-driven use cases
• Implement data modeling strategies (star schema, snowflake, etc.)
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
• Drive best practices in data engineering, CI/CD, and observability

Requirements

• Strong programming experience in Python / SQL / Scala
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks
• Expertise in distributed data processing (e.g., Spark)
• Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts

Desirable

• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)
• Exposure to data governance, lineage, and cataloging tools
• Familiarity with MLOps and ML data pipelines
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
