Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Leads the analysis of enterprise data landscapes and operational signals, translating fragmented system data into structured, decision-ready insights that support process transformation and AI enablement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex multi-system environments to identify key data sources and dependencies
• Build structured views of data assets and operational signals across platforms
• Map data flows, integrations, and lineage across systems
• Assess data quality, consistency, and ownership models
• Establish analytical foundations to enable cross-system insight generation
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate findings
• Build a comprehensive inventory of systems and data assets across journal operations
• Identify and map key operational signals (workflow states, timestamps, ownership, handoffs)
• Produce an end-to-end data flow and integration view, including manual and duplicated flows
• Assess data structure, ownership, and fragmentation across systems
• Establish a Snowflake-based analytical layer to support integrated analysis

Requirements

• Strong experience in data architecture and data engineering
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (critical)
• Experience working with enterprise system landscapes (multi-system environments)
• Strong SQL and data modelling capability
• Understanding of data lineage, integration patterns, and governance
• Ability to work with incomplete / messy enterprise data environments
• System and data landscape views
• Data asset and signal inventories
• Data flow and integration mappings
• Data quality and lineage assessments
• Structured analytical datasets for downstream use
