Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process and transform large datasets.
• Build and optimise data architectures in Redshift, PostgreSQL, and Google Sheets to support analytics and business intelligence.
• Collaborate with business and product teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources.
• Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to enhance data-driven strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor&aposs or Master&aposs degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with exposure to data analysis and business problem-solving.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools (AWS Glue, Airflow, or similar).
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery).
• Familiarity with BI tools like Metabase, QuickSight, or Tableau for reporting and visualisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends and present insights effectively.
• Experience working with large datasets and optimising database performance.
• Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance standards.
