Senior Data Architect (10+ Years Experience)

Location: Remote-India

Contract

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with over 10 years of experience to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architecture solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud/on-prem data infrastructure, and will serve as a strategic partner in transforming business needs into scalable and efficient data frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and compliance requirements.

Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional and analytical systems.

Architect scalable, high-performance ETL pipelines using modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Apache NiFi, dbt).

Lead data integration and consolidation initiatives across multiple systems and data sources.

Collaborate with software engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and governance policies.

Optimize data storage and retrieval, focusing on data quality, consistency, and accessibility.

Provide guidance on data platform modernization, including migration to cloud-based solutions like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Mentor junior architects and data engineers; establish data architecture best practices.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and ETL development.

Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart).

Expertise in data warehousing concepts and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Teradata).

Deep understanding of ETL design and data pipeline orchestration.

Strong command of SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).

Experience with data governance, data security, and master data management (MDM).

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
