Job Title: Edge Device Management Analyst IoT Operations Support

Location: Pune

Department: IoT Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Edge Device Management Analyst to support our oil field services IoT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing edge devices deployed across remote industrial sites. This role is critical to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our field-deployed IoT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edge Device Lifecycle Management: Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain edge computing devices across oil field sites.
  • Operational Support: Provide Tier 1/2 support for device-related issues, including connectivity, firmware, and data integrity. This involves working in rotational shifts to cover 24/7 operations.
  • Monitoring & Diagnostics: Implement and manage tools for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting of edge devices.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure devices meet cybersecurity standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Data Flow Optimization: Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure efficient data ingestion from edge to cloud.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of device configurations, incidents, and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with field engineers, IT, and IoT platform teams to ensure seamless operations.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.
  • Certification: Cisco Network Certification (CCAN/CCNP)
  • Operating System: Linux (Red Hat Certification)
  • Virtualization

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in edge device management, preferably in industrial or oil & gas environments.
  • Strong understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus), edge computing platforms, and remote device management tools.
  • Experience with Linux-based edge devices, containerization (Docker), and cloud integration (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for industrial IoT.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
