Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer Data & Algorithms who enjoys working with real-world operational data and building algorithmic solutions. This role involves cleaning and structuring raw datasets, identifying patterns and constraints, and implementing algorithmic logic to solve business problems.
This is a hands-on programming role that requires strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills. The role focuses on data processing, reasoning with structured data, and implementing algorithms, rather than building AI/ML models.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with large operational datasets (primarily CSV and structured data files) to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
- Use Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy to process and analyze data efficiently.
- Identify patterns, constraints, and inconsistencies in data and develop logical approaches to resolve them.
- Implement algorithmic solutions based on structured problem definitions.
- Translate real-world operational scenarios into clear computational logic.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product managers, algorithm engineers, and domain experts to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Perform debugging, validation, and performance improvements on data processing pipelines.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
- Comfortable working with CSV files and structured datasets.
- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to understand messy real-world data and derive structured insights from it.
- Solid fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Attention to detail and ability to write reliable production-quality code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience working with data-heavy applications or analytical systems.
- Familiarity with optimization or algorithmic problem solving is a plus.
