Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Understand local and international trade related laws and regulations while monitoring, tracking and reporting metrics.
  • Oversee and communicate regulatory changes and develop best practices for compliance and proactively engage on advocacy opportunities.
  • Provide customs and trade related advice to the business on daily basis, including but not limited to HS code classification, origin topics, Inco-terms, special customs procedures, assist with regional export control and sanctions, including due diligence, denied parties screening and licensing determination.
  • Lead and participate communication with local Customs when required.
  • Support business projects and develop compliant trade solutions aligned with requirements (i.e. special economic zone, trusted trade initiatives, authorizations, permits, etc.).
  • Drive cost savings, especially in customs duty savings from FTAs, duty incentives and other programs.
  • Lead internal and external trade related audits.
  • Develop, document and maintain operational processes and procedures.
  • Conduct training to internal customers and improve awareness of trade regulations.

What Makes You The Right Fit

  • Bachelor's Degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in import and export operation.
  • Strong knowledge of customs and excise procedures in India and APAC region.
  • Capability to develop and apply statistical and computer skills including MS Office and PowerBI.
  • Good networking skills, along with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of leadership, teamwork and high ethical standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel.

How Would You Stand Out

  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Recognized Customs training and/or certifications is preferred.
  • Openness, ability to change and continuous improvement.
