Role Description
The Study Abroad Counselor will play an essential role in guiding students through the process of exploring, selecting, and applying to higher education institutions abroad. This full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad involves counseling students and families, addressing their inquiries, providing end-to-end support for admissions and visas, and conducting informational sessions and workshops about destination countries and universities. The counselor will serve as a liaison between students and international educational institutions to ensure a seamless study-abroad experience.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and counseling abilities
- Proficiency in research and data analysis related to universities, courses, and visa processes
- Knowledge of international education systems, admission procedures, and visa requirements
- Experience in client relationship management and providing tailored recommendations to students
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle inquiries with professionalism
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
- Previous experience in education consultancy or student advisory services is preferred
- Passion for promoting education and helping students achieve their goals
