Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Consultant within the Banking Consulting Europe team, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver, implement, and support Oracle's next-generation financial software solutions. You will contribute to strategic project streams such as development, integration, migration, and testinghelping clients achieve their business objectives while working within Oracle's methodologies and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 37 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Springboot, JavaScript, and XML.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and experience with Oracle Database (18c/12c).
  • Experience in end-to-end development, implementation, or support of Oracle FLEXCUBE or similar core banking products.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on application servers, particularly Oracle Weblogic.
  • Familiarity with release management and source control tools.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, including solution presentations.
  • Strong documentation and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work offshore, as well as flexibly cover shift rotations.

Good-to-Have:


  • Exposure to banking domain concepts, solutions, and terminologies.
  • Experience with Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, and Oracle Fusion SOA Suite middleware.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, testing tools, and modern software development processes.
  • Awareness of latest technologies in the banking sector.
  • Prior Oracle FLEXCUBE technical certifications.

  • Have you participated in end-to-end implementation or support of core banking applications, such as Oracle FLEXCUBE, involving integration, migration, or testing activities

  • Can you demonstrate clear, effective communication and documentation abilities with diverse stakeholders, including client-facing presentations
  • Are you able and willing to work in dynamic, high-pressure environments, travel to client locations as required, and support projects in different time zones

Responsibilities


  • Serve as a senior technical team member in activities across Development, Implementation, or Managed Services, including migration, integration, and testing coordination.
  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions to address diverse business requirements for banking clients.
  • Develop programs and customizations as per Oracle/client specifications, adhering to planned schedules.
  • Apply defined standards, tools, and processes to ensure deliverables meet quality expectations.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation and maintain compliance with Oracle/client processes.
  • Ensure adherence to change management and audit/compliance procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality code and perform knowledge handover at project completion.
  • Communicate status updates and submit timesheets and expenses on schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively in both offshore and client-site environments.
