Role Overview - Senior Consultant - Finance & Operations Transformation (Balance Sheet Substantiation)

We are seeking an Assistant Manager/ Manager to support a transformation/ target-operating model initiative focused on enhancing the Balance Sheet Substantiation and reconciliation processes, including improvements to the LIBRA process framework.

This role will operate in a consulting-style project environment, working closely with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams within an investment banking context to review existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement operational and control enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering operations or finance transformation projects within an investment bank, preferably with prior experience at any consulting firm.

Responsibilities

Process Transformation & Enhancement experience / Target - Operating model experience

Assess the current Balance Sheet Substantiation processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Drive process redesign and standardization to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control.

Support implementation of improved reconciliation and substantiation frameworks.

LIBRA Process Enhancement

Review the existing LIBRA operational processes and identify control gaps or inefficiencies.

Work with stakeholders to enhance reconciliation workflows, data flows, and exception management.

Support delivery of process automation and operational improvements where feasible.

Operations & Finance Alignment

Partner with Operations, Finance, Business and Technology teams to ensure alignment across front-to-back processes.

Support integration of improved substantiation processes into the overall finance operating model.

Assist with implementation of target operating models and process governance frameworks.

Project Delivery

Work in a consulting-style project structure, delivering transformation initiatives with defined milestones.

Develop process maps, gap analyses, and implementation plans.

Track progress and support delivery of process improvements and operational enhancements.

Controls & Governance

Strengthen balance sheet governance and control frameworks.

Improve transparency, documentation, and audit readiness of substantiation processes.

Support the development of standardized procedures and control documentation.

Relevant years of experience in finance or operations transformation or process enhancement consulting experience with financial services industry.

Experience working on operations or finance transformation projects within an investment bank.

Background in consulting-led transformation initiatives within financial services.

Experience working with investment banking finance or operations teams.

Ability to drive process improvements and deliver change in complex operational environments.
