Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply proprietary and industry-leading methodologies to process and govern data assets for clients in transactions or value creation opportunities.
  • Implement frameworks covering data strategy components, including data governance, data quality, data monetization, data consumption, and enterprise data management.
  • Build and implement cloud/on-prem solutions for data-driven decision intelligence, including working with complex ELT (extract, load, transform) techniques, setting up modern data warehouses/data marts, and establishing business intelligence layers.
  • Manage large data volumes using advanced techniques and data tools.
  • Work on buy/sell-side due diligence engagements with a deep understanding of the sector and functions to identify value creation opportunities for analytics applications.
  • Deliver and manage mid to large-size deals, ensuring smooth delivery across assigned engagements and regions.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across regions, coordinating between core functional and technology teams.
  • Lead stakeholder management and experience with mid-market deals, particularly from an analytics perspective.
  • Prepare demo tools to a high standard for client presentations.
  • Direct client engagement and delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong work initiative, high energy, adaptability to new challenges, proactive approach, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel while working within transaction advisory, financial accounting advisory, and mergers and acquisitions environments.
  • Assist clients in building solutions that unlock value using data-driven approaches and business intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with strong communication skills.
  • Possess strong financial, accounting, analytical, and communication skills, facilitating clear and concise messaging with clients and technology personnel.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-9 years of experience in Data Engineering/Business Intelligence, focusing on developing and implementing data as an asset service and end-to-end integrated BI tools to deliver key project insights.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with MS Azure services (preferred), including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, and Databricks.
  • Strong working experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, and familiarity with advanced techniques for Geo-Spatial analysis and dashboarding using tools like Azure Maps and ArcGIS.
  • Experience with MS Azure-based deployment, with foundational knowledge of Azure Cognitive Services to interlock with the Data Science pillar.
  • Ability to program using Python, NoSQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Strong understanding of BI practices, analysis, visualization, and emerging trends.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical techniques such as linear and non-linear regressions, classification, and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of data orchestration, ingestion, ELT, data design patterns, and reporting architecture for both on-prem and cloud (MS Azure preferred).
  • Strong experience in the Mergers & Acquisitions domain, including due diligence, deal structuring, financial reporting, value creation, and post-merger phases.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a tier-1 college (Master's in Business/Domain preferred).
  • Experienced in programming, business intelligence (BI), and enterprise resource systems, including data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Familiarity with analytics and data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), with a preference for Azure.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence layers (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to teamwork and adaptability to changing client demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
