We're looking for aSenior Computer Aided Design (CAD) Engineerto join our core team atVTOL Aviation India Pvt. Ltd., an indigenous leader in advanced drone technology and aerospace systems. This role will play a pivotal part in theend-to-end design and developmentof UAV systemstransforming concepts into real-world aerial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of UAV platforms, sub-systems, and components.
- Translate functional requirements into 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings.
- Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and systems teams to ensure holistic design integration.
- Perform tolerance analysis, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Work closely with manufacturing vendors for prototype builds, testing, and production support.
- Maintain structured CAD data management and documentation using PLM systems.
- Optimize designs for weight, performance, and manufacturability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experiencein CAD design for UAVs, aircraft, or high-precision UAV systems.
- Mastery of CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, composites, and structural dynamics.
- Experience in rapid prototyping, CNC, additive manufacturing, and lightweight structural design.
- Familiarity with FEA and CFD tools is an added advantage.
- Experience in UAV development lifecycle from concept to flight is preferred.
