Job Description

Job Title: Lead CRE Analyst

Location: Bengaluru & Gurugram (On-Site)

Shift: 11am to 8pm IST

The candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of due diligence and advanced real estate analysis for CMBS, agency multifamily, securitization, and other commercial real estate (CRE) loan underwriting and debt consulting assignments. This role requires managing multiple transactions, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality output within tight deadlines while engaging with multiple stakeholders and clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

➢ Lead end-to-end underwriting support for commercial real estate loans, securitizations, and affordable housing transactions

➢ Review, analyze, and interpret financial statements, rent rolls, third-party reports, lease agreements, title and zoning reports, insurance policies, and credit documentation with minimal supervision

➢ Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards

➢ Oversee loan closing processes and ensure timely procurement and review of all closing requirements

➢ Conduct in-depth analysis of tenant-level data including financial trends, credit profiles, and market positioning

➢ Lead market and submarket research including supply/demand analysis, absorption trends, pipeline developments, and rent/vacancy analysis

➢ Review and extract critical insights from appraisal, engineering, environmental, and other third-party reports

➢ Prepare and review detailed credit memos, asset summaries, and investment recommendations

➢ Support valuation analysis and assist in deriving value conclusions across property types

➢ Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution

➢ Mentor and guide junior analysts/associates, ensuring knowledge transfer and quality control

➢ Drive process improvements and contribute to standardization of underwriting practices

➢ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

SKILL SETS REQUIRED

➢ Strong expertise in CRE underwriting, particularly Multifamily and CMBS transactions, including covenants and risk assessment frameworks

➢ Proven ability to lead transactions independently and manage competing priorities

➢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and big-picture thinking

➢ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

➢ Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

➢ Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet strict deadlines

➢ Strong time management and organizational skills

➢ Prior experience in team handling, mentoring, or quality review is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

➢ Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (preferred: Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business)

➢ 5–12 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, financial analysis, appraisal, brokerage, or banking

➢ Strong exposure to US CRE, CMBS, or agency underwriting preferred

➢ Experience in handling end-to-end transactions and client interactions
