In this role, you will:

  • Lead a variety of servicing activities for moderately complex commercial products, including coordinating all aspects to ensure customer resolution
  • Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate all aspects of resolving open customer service issues interact with internal and external customers
  • Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress customer-focused needs
  • Review and negotiate moderately complex loan servicing transactions, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications
  • Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues
  • Conduct quality reviews and monitor key performance metrics as related to efficiencies and effective processes
  • Identify activities of the team to ensure conformity with established procedures
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • May lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff may contribute to strategic initiatives
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

We are seeking a highly experienced LIQ Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 5-8 years of hands‑on LIQ experience and 8+ years of Lending Servicing experience, who will also function as a trainer and capability‑builder for the organization. This role combines deep functional expertise, operational leadership, and structured knowledge transfer, ensuring strong bench strength, reduced dependency on individuals, and consistent process execution across teams.

The incumbent will act as a domain authority and trainer, supporting complex LIQ transactions, driving risk mitigation, enabling process excellence, and strengthening overall team competency through continuous learning and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior LIQ Expert will own end‑to‑end LIQ and Lending Servicing activities, providing expert guidance on complex deal structures, lifecycle events, and non‑standard servicing scenarios. The role requires hands‑on involvement in high‑risk transactions while ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and service‑level expectations.

In addition, this role carries a formal training and enablement mandate, responsible for building and sustaining LIQ domain knowledge across onshore and offshore teams.

Training & Knowledge Enablement Responsibilities

  • Act as a designated LIQ trainer and knowledge lead for Lending Servicing teams
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain structured training programs covering LIQ fundamentals, advanced scenarios, and system functionalities
  • Conduct new‑hire onboarding, refresher trainings, and upskilling sessions for existing team members
  • Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, job aids, and scenario‑based learning material
  • Lead case‑study‑based training on complex transactions, exceptions, audit findings, and common error trends
  • Partner with Quality Control and Risk teams to embed learnings from defects, audits, and incidents into training content
  • Assess team capability gaps and proactively recommend targeted training interventions
  • Serve as a go‑to coach and mentor for SMEs and senior processors, enabling independent decision‑making

Operational & Strategic Contributions

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex LIQ and Lending Servicing issues
  • Provide expert guidance on LIQ system usage, data integrity, and upstream/downstream impacts
  • Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring errors, SLA breaches, and quality gaps
  • Drive process standardization, simplification, and automation initiatives
  • Support system migrations, decommissions, and enhancements impacting LIQ workflows
  • Ensure training readiness and operational stability during change initiatives

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and onshore partners on LIQ‑related matters
  • Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams on process and system changes
  • Support audit reviews, regulatory exams, and management assessments with strong domain representation
  • Enable succession planning by building multi‑skilled and cross‑trained resources

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of hands‑on LIQ experience with strong functional depth
  • 8+ years of overall Lending Servicing experience, covering the full loan lifecycle
  • Proven experience handling complex, high‑risk, and non‑standard transactions
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, or knowledge‑transfer roles is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of controls, SLAs, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements
