Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Chartered Accountant, based in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will handle the company's financial operations, including managing accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing financial reports. They will oversee audits, assess financial risk, provide strategic financial insights, and manage budgets and tax planning. The role will focus on financial governance, MIS reporting, marketplace reconciliation, statutory compliance, and business analytics to support data-driven decision-making across digital and offline channels. Collaborative interactions with various departments and stakeholders will be a key part of the role. Experience in ecommerce industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • CA Pass (Chartered Accountant Qualified)

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in D2C, e-commerce, or consumer brands.
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, taxation, and MIS preparation.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax planning, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in financial audits and risk assessments
  • Proficiency in using accounting software Zoho and other tools
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for collaboration across teams

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & MIS
  • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports covering revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.
  • Develop customer-level P&L for marketplaces such as Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, and other e-commerce partners.
  • Prepare channel-wise P&L for B2C e-commerce, B2B e-commerce, retail/offline, and the company's own website.
  • Perform budget vs. actual analysis, including variance reporting and insights for management.
Marketplace & Revenue Reconciliation
  • Manage reconciliation of marketplace transactions, including settlements, commissions, returns, and logistics charges.
  • Maintain accurate entries between sellers, payment gateways, and last-mile logistics partners.
  • Coordinate with marketplaces and internal teams to resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Accounting & Financial Controls
  • Review and finalize books of accounts on a periodic basis.
  • Conduct G/L reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Monitor and control indirect expenses and maintain financial discipline across departments.
Taxation & Compliance
  • Manage and file GST, TDS, TCS, and Advance Tax returns along with challan preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations applicable to e-commerce operations.
  • Support statutory audits and liaise with auditors and consultants when required.
Operational Finance
  • Support key finance processes including inventory accounting, payroll coordination, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Verify purchase orders, vendor quotations, and procurement documentation to ensure cost-effective decision-making.
  • Review expense claims, bills, and accounting vouchers in line with internal approval processes.
