Software Requirements:
Strong development and troubleshooting skills, particularly in Java and Calypso APIs.
Proven expertise with Calypso v16 or above, specifically for the commodity asset class.
Overall Responsibilities:
Develop new features and enhancements for various desks and operations users related to Calypso at US Bank, utilizing Java and Calypso APIs.
Participate in planning sessions, estimate work, conduct testing, and provide Level 2 (L2) support.
Develop, enhance, and maintain back-office applications on the Calypso platform to support commodity trading operations.
Collaborate with operations and trade support teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that optimize trade processing and settlement.
Implement and maintain workflows for trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
Core Technical Skills:
Java development (minimum 5 years).
Expertise in Calypso APIs.
Experience with Calypso v16 or above.
Customizations in Calypso, including Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
Knowledge of Calypsos message and sender frameworks.
Additional Technical Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Cloud Technologies:AWS.
Containerization:Kubernetes.
Monitoring Tools:Grafana.
Build Tools:Maven, Jenkins.
CI/CD:Cloudbees.
Business Acumen:Understanding of derivative products.
Certifications:Microsoft Certified:Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Certified:Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus.
Experience:
6-15 years of experience in software development, focusing on Java and Calypso systems.
Strong understanding of commodities trading processes, including trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Engage with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements.
Develop, test, and deploy applications and features on the Calypso platform.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to Calypso applications.
Prepare documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides.
Conduct regular meetings with operations and trade support teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in Java development or Calypso systems are a plus.
