Role Overview
The Senior Business Officer Health Insurance acts as the strategic deputy to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and supports leadership of IIB's Health Insurance Vertical. Under the strategic direction of the CBO, the role drives execution across business performance, product platforms, industry engagement, and data governance. The position requires a senior professional with 15 years of experience in the health insurance ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CBO in executing the strategic roadmap and growth agenda for the Health Insurance vertical.
- Manage adoption and value realization of IIB's health data and analytics products across insurers and TPAs.
- Lead development and lifecycle management of health insurance data products covering underwriting analytics, claims intelligence, and fraud monitoring.
- Define product roadmaps and industry use cases and coordinate delivery with technology and analytics teams.
- Establish strong data governance frameworks including submission standards, validation logic, and quality benchmarks.
- Lead crossfunctional teams across product, analytics, and data operations.
- Represent the Health Vertical in insurer engagements and industry forums as delegated by the CBO.
Experience
Approximately 15 years of experience in the Health Insurance domain across insurers, TPAs, health analytics organizations, consulting firms, or industry platforms.
Education
Medical qualification (MBBS / BAMS / BHMS or equivalent) strongly preferred. Postgraduate qualification in health, insurance, analytics, or management preferred. MBA from a recognized institution mandatory.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Adoption and revenue growth of IIB health insurance data products.
- Improvement in industry data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
- Successful launch and enhancement of analytics products and industry benchmarking reports.
- Stakeholder satisfaction across insurers, TPAs, and ecosystem partners.
- Execution of strategic initiatives and delivery of key vertical programs.
