We are seeking a
Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade business intelligence solutions that support executive decision-making. This role owns the
semantic and visualization layer of the analytics platform, ensuring insights are accurate, performant, secure, and consistently consumed across the organization.
The Senior Power BI Developer acts as a
trusted analytics partner to business leaders, translating complex analytical requirements into scalable dashboards and datasets, while establishing standards for performance, governance, and user adoption.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Own end-to-end delivery of Power BI solutions, from requirements definition through deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization
- Design and maintain enterprise semantic models that enable consistent, reusable, and governed analytics
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of Power BI datasets and reports used by senior leadership
- Define and enforce Power BI standards and best practices, including modelling patterns, DAX conventions, workspace design, and dataset certification
- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure optimal integration with upstream data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, Warehouse)
- Mentor and coach BI developers and analysts, conducting design reviews and raising overall BI maturity
Technical Skill: -
- 8–10+ years of experience in BI and analytics, with 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development
- Proven expertise in semantic modeling and DAX, with experience supporting large, complex analytical models
- Strong background in data modeling, performance optimization, and analytics UX design
- Deep understanding of Power BI Service administration and governance, including security and deployment practices
- Experience delivering BI solutions that integrate with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Synapse)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills across data engineering, product, and business teams
- Experience with capacity management, usage optimization, and cost awareness is a plus
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-600 are desirable
