We are looking for a data-driven professional with a strong technical background to design, develop, and optimize high-impact business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data into intuitive visual dashboards, ensuring data model integrity and performance efficiency within the Azure ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Visualization Development: Create dashboards and reports in Power BI, applying UX/UI principles to ensure effective KPI storytelling, information hierarchy, and accessibility.
- Data Modeling: Design and maintain robust semantic models using Star Schema (fact and dimension tables).
- Query Optimization: Develop and tune Azure SQL queries, views, and joins to ensure data loading efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Automation & Integration: Implement seamless workflows by integrating Power BI with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Web Apps.
- Quality Assurance: Design and execute data validation checks, accuracy testing, and regression testing across all reports.
- Performance Management: Optimize DAX measures, report visuals, and Azure SQL queries for maximum responsiveness.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical visual analytics solutions and provide delivery support.
- Security & Governance: Configure Row Level Security (RLS), manage workspace/dataset permissions, and monitor usage metrics and refresh logs.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in BI roles (Mid-Senior level).
- Power BI Mastery: Deep expertise in DAX foundations, advanced modeling, and performance best practices.
- Azure Ecosystem: Strong experience with Azure SQL and Power BI connectivity with diverse Azure data sources.
- Advanced SQL: Proficiency in query development, performance tuning, and database management.
- Visual Design: Solid understanding of UX/UI for data visualization, corporate branding, and layout standards.
- Integration Skills: Working knowledge of Power Platform (Apps/Automate) and awareness of Azure Web Apps.
- Source Control: Familiarity with basic versioning of Power BI artifacts and SQL code.
- Complementary Languages: Basic skill in HTML/CSS and awareness of JavaScript for embedded analytics or custom visual scenarios.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
Key Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
- Additional Training: Formal training in UX/UI design principles
