Job Description

A Senior Business Development Manager isresponsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic growth plans, and forging partnerships to drive company revenue.Key duties include conducting market research, building client relationships, leading negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams like sales and marketing to execute strategies.This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and sales skills to achieve organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic planning:Develop and implement long-term growth strategies, identify new markets, and analyze industry trends to find new business opportunities.
  • Relationship management:Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Deal-making:Lead negotiations, draft proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:Work with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and product development to align on strategy and ensure successful execution.
  • Market analysis:Conduct market research to identify potential areas for growth and analyze competitor strategies.
  • Leadership and delegation:Coach team members, delegate tasks, and manage deadlines to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Reporting:Track and report on business performance, successes, and areas for improvement.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience:A bachelor's degree, often with an MBA, and several years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development are typically required.
  • Strategic thinking:Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies to drive growth.
  • Negotiation:Strong negotiation skills are essential for closing deals.
  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are critical for interacting with clients and internal teams.
