Role Overview

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and scaling the business from the ground up.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on (IC + leadership) role where you will personally drive revenue, onboard partners, solve on-ground challenges, and eventually build and lead a high-performing team.

You will own revenue, partnerships, operations, and P&L, acting as an entrepreneur within the organization. This role is ideal for an ace hustler who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys being in the field, and is excited to create impact from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through relentless on-ground execution.
  • Define and execute the business development strategy aligned with overall company goals.
  • Personally drive early-stage traction as an individual contributor before scaling the function with own team.
  • Onboard anchor accounts and strategic clients to establish strong market presence.
  • Drive revenue growth through new partnerships and expansion of existing accounts.

2. Partner Acquisition & Management

  • Personally source, pitch, onboard, and activate PG operators, co-living operators, and strategic partners.
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships through regular in-person engagement.
  • Ensure high partner activation, satisfaction, and retention by solving problems hands-on.
  • Collaborate with partners on pilots, joint initiatives, and growth experiments.

3. Operations & Execution

  • Own day-to-day execution across onboarding, activation, and service delivery.
  • Work closely with central operations, product, marketing, and support teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Track key performance metrics and take immediate corrective actions to improve outcomes.

4. P&L Ownership & Performance Management

  • Take full ownership of P&L, including revenue targets, cost management, and profitability.
  • Build and manage sustainable unit economics while scaling the business.
  • Monitor performance closely and make data-driven decisions to balance growth and efficiency.

Who Should Apply

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or growth roles, preferably in startups, fintech, proptech, or marketplaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to build businesses or functions from scratch.
  • Experience owning or contributing directly to revenue and P&L.
  • A self-starter and hustler who is comfortable working with minimal structure.
  • Willingness to start as a hands-on IC and grow into a leadership role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly field-oriented and execution-driven.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
