Business Development Manager US IT Staffing

Location: Hyderabad, India | Work Mode: 100% Work From Office

Experience: 12+ years in US IT Staffing (Mandatory) | Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving measurable revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building a strong, sustainable vendor and client ecosystem within the US IT staffing industry. This is an outcome-driven leadership role in a startup environment where impact matters from Day One. We're looking for someone who can leverage existing relationships to bring in multiple vendors and, where applicable, direct clients immediately, while demonstrating a strong, ongoing commitment to continuously building new relationships and expanding the business network over time. Success in this role is defined by clearly measured KPIs, including vendor onboarding, requirement inflow, pipeline quality, and revenue contribution.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the full-cycle sales process within the staffing industry, from prospecting and preparation through presentations, negotiations, closing, and follow-up
  • Leverage existing relationships to onboard multiple vendors and direct clients early, while continuously expanding the vendor and client network
  • Generate new business through relationship-driven strategies, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach
  • Identify, research, qualify, onboard, and nurture long-term partnerships with vendors and direct clients
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline to support sustained business growth and achieve defined revenue, margin, and growth KPIs
  • Design and execute a clear, repeatable strategy for vendor identification, relationship building, and onboarding using in-depth knowledge of staffing models including C2C, C2H, direct hire, and workforce solutions
  • Build, grow, and maintain a high-quality vendor and direct client database
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding hiring needs, market conditions, and talent availability
  • Stay current on staffing industry trends, compliance considerations, and competitive dynamics, and share market intelligence with leadership
  • Develop, manage, and continuously strengthen long-term relationships with vendors and direct clients through proactive and consistent communication
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships through deeper engagement and additional workforce solutions
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms to ensure profitable and scalable engagements
  • Maintain accurate CRM records documenting all BD activities, pipeline stages, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business development strategy with organizational goals
  • Act as a market-facing leader and ambassador for the brand
  • Take full ownership of business development performance and outcomes, operating with a startup mindsethands-on, execution-focused, and accountable

  • Achievement of set targets and time-to-time assessment of whether targets are being met per vendor/client

What You Need to Succeed

  • 12+ years of experience in staffing industry sales or business development
  • Proven ability to activate existing relationships quickly and continuously build new ones
  • Established network of staffing vendors and/or direct client contacts
  • Strong understanding of staffing economics, rates, margins, and deal structures
  • Demonstrated ability to build BD strategy and execute independently
  • Highly driven, goal-focused, and outcome-oriented
  • Strong analytical, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Ownership mindset with strong accountability
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats to achieve business goals and being measured on outcomes and KPIs
  • Strategic thinker who executes rather than just plans
