For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for Senior Business Analyst. Candidates need to have at least 3 years of SAP accounting or financial systems experience.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for accounting and financial systems;
- Ensure solutions align with accounting principles, compliance standards, and organizational policies;
- Actively participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews) and support the Scrum Master in maintaining team cadence;
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and work closely with developers and testers to ensure accurate implementation;
- Perform data analysis and validation for financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting;
- Support Azure DevOps backlog management and contribute to user stories and acceptance criteria;
- Participate in knowledge transfer meetings and take the transition from current team;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years of IT Business Analyst experience;
- +3 years focused on accounting or financial systems;
- Prior experience in SAFe Agile environments;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes;
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus);
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Azure DevOps for backlog and workflow management;
- Ability to analyze data using SQL and create reports (Power BI experience is a plus);
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology and Agile practices;
- SAFe Agile certification or formal training preferred;
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills;
- Fluent in English;
