Responsibilities:
- Technology Evaluation and Fitment: Continuously evaluate new and emerging technologies in the market that can address both current and future business needs for residential and commercial sectors
- Process Optimization using Lean: Apply Lean principles and methodologies to analyze and streamline existing workflows, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, reducing waste, and improving overall operational efficiency through strategic technology solutions aligned with business objectives
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Lead conversations with end-users to gather detailed business requirements, understand the underlying business context, and identify pain points
- High level solution Architecture and Design: Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Application Head, IT Head, and Customer-Facing Application Head to develop appropriate solution architectures that are scalable, robust, and aligned with business objectives. Ensure that the right stakeholders are involved in the solution design process
- Stakeholder Management: Engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across business and IT to ensure alignment on project goals, scope, and deliverables
- Testing and Validation: Perform first-level testing of new solutions from the perspective of the end-user to ensure that they meet the defined requirements and are user-friendly
- Needs Assessment: Maintain constant communication with end-users to understand their current challenges and anticipate future needs, proactively seeking technology solutions to address them
- ROI Analysis: Work with the business to develop detailed return-on-investment (ROI) analyses for new technology implementations, justifying the investment and demonstrating the potential benefits
- Proof of Concept (POC): Lead and execute Proof of Concept (POC) projects to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of new technologies
- Pipeline Development: Create and maintain a robust pipeline of potential new platforms and technologies for feasibility analysis, focusing on solutions that can drive top-line growth
- Business Process Improvement: Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through the application of technology
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of business requirements, solution designs, and test results
- Project Management: Manage small to medium-sized technology projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis and technology solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on technology evaluation and implementation
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, developing solution architectures, and conducting ROI analyses
- Strong understanding of both residential and commercial business models
- Experience with a variety of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques
- Experience with project management methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Certification in Lean methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and process excellence
