Senior Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst – IT (Lead Or senior)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a results-driven Business Analyst to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of back-end operations for our growing e-commerce marketplace operation. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable systems and features. Your analytical mindset, e-commerce experience, and process orientation will play a crucial role in building a seamless operational backbone for our marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze current business processes across the marketplace back-end (order flow, inventory management, WMS, customer service, etc., translating them into effective IT solutions.
• Define and document detailed business requirements, user stories, process flows, and system interactions
• Work closely with developers to design scalable backend systems including seller management, fulfillment workflows, payment/Data processing, and returns handling
• Translate complex business logic into functional and technical specifications
• Act as a liaison between business teams and the tech team to ensure alignment and timely delivery
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization in back-office operations
• Perform gap analysis and propose system or process improvements
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), troubleshoot issues, and ensure implementation matches expectations
• Track KPIs and operational metrics to guide continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an e-commerce or marketplace environment or similar
• Strong understanding of marketplace platforms and backend e-commerce operations (order management, inventory systems, Financial, seller portals, etc.)
• Experience working in agile/scrum environments
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, Figma, or similar
• Technical know-how to communicate effectively with developers (SQL, API basics, system integration concepts)
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Shopify, Amazon, Magento, or custom marketplace platforms
• Knowledge of ERP, OMS, WMS integrations
• Previous involvement in developing SaaS-based or B2B or B2C marketplaces
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
