Job Overview
Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA)
Role Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Business Analyst to support the launch of a new product team implementing a modern commercial forecasting platform to replace manual, Exceldriven forecasting processes. This role will lead business discovery and requirements definition, translate complex forecasting workflows into clear and actionable requirements, and support successful platform adoption.
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with forecasting, analytics, and delivery teams to ensure business needs are accurately captured, standardized, and implemented while permanent ownership roles are being onboarded.
Key Responsibilities
Business Discovery & Requirements Leadership
- Lead requirements elicitation with forecasting and analytics stakeholders to understand currentstate processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Translate business needs into welldefined epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders on forecasting assumptions, workflows, and reporting needs across brands and geographies
Process & Functional Analysis
- Document business and functional requirements, including process flows (asis / tobe), functional specifications, and traceability artifacts
- Perform fitgap analysis between business requirements and platform capabilities; document decisions, constraints, and recommendations
- Support standardization of forecasting processes to reduce manual effort, reconciliation issues, and inconsistencies
UAT & Delivery Support
- Own UAT preparation and execution, including test scenarios, test data, defect triage, and business signoff
- Ensure requirements are testable, measurable, and aligned to delivery scope
- Support release readiness through documentation, validation, and stakeholder communication
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, delivery leadership, technical teams, and vendor partners
- Communicate requirements, decisions, risks, and dependencies clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Support knowledge transfer and transition to incoming fulltime Business Analyst resources
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst delivering enterprise platforms or analytics solutions
- Strong expertise in requirements engineering, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process mapping, and functional documentation
- Proven experience supporting endtoend UAT activities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and rationalize complex, spreadsheetbased business processes
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
