Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in understanding business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, and working closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver scalable product solutions.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced SaaS product organizations and should possess strong business analysis, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities along with a conceptual understanding of digital marketing and data-driven product ecosystems.

This role requires someone who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and actionable deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, product managers, and engineering teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct discovery sessions, stakeholder discussions, and requirement workshops to understand business needs and workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, use cases, process flows, BRDs, FRDs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, edge cases, and optimization opportunities within existing business processes and product workflows.
  • Ensure requirements are clearly documented and aligned with product and engineering expectations.

Product & Functional Collaboration

  • Develop a strong understanding of MADTECH.AI's product ecosystem, customer use cases, and platform capabilities.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams during feature planning, prioritization, and execution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with QA teams during testing and UAT phases to validate business requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Support successful product releases and feature adoption by ensuring clarity across stakeholders.

Domain Understanding & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Possess a good understanding of digital media marketing ecosystems, customer journeys, campaign workflows, and marketing performance metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Business teams to understand data-driven business requirements and use cases.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with concepts related to audience segmentation, attribution, campaign measurement, and marketing analytics platforms.
  • Understand key business and marketing KPIs such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, CAC, LTV, conversion metrics, and engagement metrics.
  • Participate in discussions involving reporting requirements, dashboards, business insights, and analytical workflows.
  • Work with technical and analytics teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into scalable product and reporting solutions.
  • Possess a conceptual understanding of data structures, reporting frameworks, and analytics-driven decision-making processes.

Documentation & Process Excellence

  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation of requirements, workflows, business rules, and process definitions.
  • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and functional documentation where required.
  • Ensure proper version control and traceability of requirements and change requests.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the Business Analysis function.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, customers, product teams, engineering teams, and analytics teams.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on requirement status, dependencies, risks, and clarifications.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in technology or product-based organizations.
  • Strong experience working in B2B SaaS product environments.
  • Prior exposure to MarTech, AdTech, Digital Media, Marketing Analytics, or Data-driven platforms is preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong experience in requirement gathering, business analysis, workflow documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Good understanding of B2B SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, and product workflows.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, MarTech, AdTech, or analytics-driven product ecosystems.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of SQL, reporting concepts, and data-driven product environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work closely with Data Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams in translating business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven products, analytics platforms, or customer intelligence solutions.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, or Product Management are a plus.
  • Experience working with global teams and enterprise customers is preferred.
