Job Role: Senior Business Analyst Healthcare Domain
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for managing client expectations, partnering with business and technology stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of healthcare solutions aligned with customer and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, data, and compliance frameworks, combined with technical and analytical expertise to drive effective product and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clinical teams, and technical delivery teams to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, including requirement gathering, scope definition, prioritization, and implementation tracking.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, workflows, and user stories using Agile methodologies.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Analyze complex healthcare data to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for operational or product improvement.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with healthcare standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT, etc.) and organizational policies.
- Interpret customer feedback and clinical insights to shape new product features or enhancements.
- Partner with QA and technical teams to define acceptance criteria, validate test results, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Manage stakeholder communication and maintain transparency across all levels of project governance.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reports highlighting progress, issues, and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience:57 years of work experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Subject Matter Expert in a Healthcare IT organization.
- Strong experience in Healthcare data analytics, EHR/EMR systems, payerprovider workflows, or claims management systems.
- Deep understanding of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH) and interoperability frameworks (HL7, FHIR).
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operations, and technology groups.
- Proven track record in project delivery, business process optimization, and vendor coordination.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, CSPO, or equivalent)
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent)
- Healthcare-specific certifications such as CPHIMS, CBAP, or HCISPP
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills using SQL, Excel, and familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python/R preferred).
- Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project Online).
- Working knowledge of EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) or healthcare data warehouses.
- Understanding of APIs, data integration standards (HL7/FHIR), and interoperability concepts.
- Expertise in MS PowerPoint and other business presentation tools.
