About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Trade Finance to partner closely with Technology, Product, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have deep analytical skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and hands-on experience translating business needs into detailed functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Technology, Product Leads, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Capture, analyze, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology capabilities.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, scope definition, and prioritization discussions.
  • Create and maintain Epics, User Stories, and all relevant project documentation.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, including ASIS and TOBE process flows.
  • Provide end-to-end functional support throughout the project lifecyclefrom requirement analysis to testing phases (SIT, UAT).
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure clear understanding of functional specifications.
  • Manage requirement changes in line with project governance.
  • Build use cases and work with business teams to secure sign-off on requirements, test scenarios, and implementation readiness.
  • Drive successful go-live through training, product demos, and creation of user documentation.
  • Lead/mentor a team of Business Analysts in delivering complete functional solutions.
  • Participate in solution design/architecture discussions for target-state processes.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance requirement gathering, documentation, and analysis workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 12+ years of relevant Business Analysis experience (minimum).
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience of 6+ years in Trade Finance domain.
  • Proven experience working with business users and SMEs to gather requirements and assess risks/options.
  • Strong ability to create detailed business and functional requirement documents.
  • Experience writing functional system requirement specifications.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with Senior Business Stakeholders and Operations teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in:
  • MS Excel
  • Jira
  • Mind Maps
  • SQL
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to lead BA teams and deliver end-to-end functional solutions.
  • Understanding of programming basics (Java/Python) is an added advantage.
  • Ability to synthesize large sets of information and ask the right questions to clarify requirements.
  • Experience with AI tools for documentation, analysis, and automation is a plus.
