Job Title: Brand Manager (Paneer)

  • Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and consumer-centric Brand Manager to lead Beverages category at Godrej Jersey. This role will be pivotal in driving business growth, strengthening brand equity, and delivering innovation in one of our largest categories. The incumbent will own the brand portfolio, lead new product development, manage communication and media initiatives, and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a sales & marketing strategy for Beverages to achieve topline, bottom line, and contribution margin goals.
  • Deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) through strong marketing support, value creation, and effective communication.
  • Act as custodian of the category portfolio and brand architecture, ensuring consistency, competitiveness, and long-term growth.

Innovation & NPD

  • Lead the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) process: ideation, consumer validation, product creation, and in-market launch.
  • Develop portfolio strategy including product mix, packaging innovation, pricing, and pack-price architecture.
  • Anticipate evolving consumer needs and embed insights into product and brand development.

Marketing & Communication

  • Conceptualize and execute 360 campaigns (ATL, BTL, Digital) to build awareness, salience, and engagement.
  • Create effective sales promotion schemes and trade/channel programs in collaboration with Sales.
  • Optimize media strategy and manage agency partners for impactful and cost-effective campaigns.

Business & Market Development

  • Develop entry strategies for new geographies and markets.
  • Monitor brand health, consumer trends, and competition through research and market analysis; recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive trade-marketing strategy and strengthen alignment between Marketing and Sales for seamless in-market execution.

Budgeting

  • Manage brand budgets effectively, ensuring ROI on marketing spends.
  • Evaluate and optimize product pricing, promotion, and packaging in line with market dynamics.
  • Ensure profitability through effective P&L and cost control.

Education: MBA/PGDM in Marketing from a reputed B-School. (2018 to 2020 batches)

Experience: 3 -4 years in brand management in FMCG Foods Category, and 1-2 years of sales experience.

Someone who has worked with Food FMCG companies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong mix development (product, packaging, proposition, pricing).
  • Good understanding of media, communication development, and consumer insights.
  • Understanding of pack-price architecture, benchmarking, and category P&L levers.

  • Soft Skills:
  • Driven, detail-oriented, and consumer-first mindset.
  • Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and execution skills.
