About The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Lead with proven architectural experience and strong problem solving skills to drive the evolution of our platform. As a key technical leader, you will design scalablebackend solutions, optimize performance, and mentor a team of engineers to build a robust andfuture-proof system.

You should be comfortable making high-level system decisions, implementing best practices, andworking across teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery. This is a hands-onleadership role, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to guide theteam towards excellence.

Responsibilities:

Architect and scale our backend infrastructure to support business growth and internationalexpansion.

Lead backend development efforts, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.

Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture and technical excellence.

Design and optimize APIs for high-throughput, low-latency applications.

Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to build seamless and efficientsystems.

Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive continuous improvement in backendarchitecture and performance.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our platformcutting-edge.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of backend development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong programming expertise in Python (Django, Flask).

Experience designing scalable, high-performance architectures for SaaS applications.

Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and query optimization.

Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS preferred) and microservices architecture.

Experience in API design and development with RESTful principles.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex engineeringchallenges.

Excellent communication skillsable to translate technical concepts to non-technicalstakeholders.

Ability to lead and mentor a team while maintaining hands-on development expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker,Kubernetes).

Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.

Familiarity with asynchronous processing and message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka).

A passion for building scalable, maintainable, and future-proof software.
