Job Profile
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Backend Developer with 34 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining backend systems. This role is ideal for a strong individual contributor who has worked on production-grade applications and is ready to take ownership of backend modules and services.
The selected candidate will work closely with architects, product teams, and cloud engineers to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing backend solutions. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, this role requires solid technical fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to work independently within an Agile environment.

Job Description
- Backend Development and Design:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs following security and performance best practices.
- Work on microservices-based architectures and service integrations.
- Apply OOP principles and standard design patterns in implementation.
- Cloud and Deployment:
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM Roles.
- Assist in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting backend services.
- Use Linux commands for debugging and operational support.
- Agile Delivery and Collaboration:
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Use Git workflows (pull, push, merge, PRs) for version control and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
- Debugging, Logging, and Quality:
- Perform debugging and root-cause analysis of application issues.
- Implement and enhance logging frameworks for monitoring and traceability.
- Follow best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.
Required Skill Set
- 34 years of hands-on backend development experience using Java
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
- Experience in REST API development, integration, and deployment
- Working knowledge of AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, IAM Roles
- Experience with Git workflows (Pull, Push, Merge, PRs)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in basic Linux commands

Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
