Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer for a 612 months contractual engagement to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for UI and backend systems. The engineer will work closely with the QA Architect and development teams to ensure high-quality test coverage and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop UI automation scripts using Playwright with JS/TS
• Automate complex end-to-end user workflows across applications
• Implement API automation and backend data validation
• Handle SSO-based authentication in automation frameworks
• Create and maintain reusable automation components and utilities
• Execute, analyze, and maintain regression and smoke test suites
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate automation failures and collaborate with developers for resolution
• Review automation code and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Mentor and guide mid-level engineers during the contract period

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience in API automation (REST)
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with microservices testing
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
• Backend data validation and SQL experience
