Role Summary
The Sr. Engineer – Automation will be responsible for leading the design, development, programming, commissioning, and optimization of advanced automation systems. This role requires strong expertise in Beckhoff PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, and databaseintegrated automation solutions, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and support complex customer projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, programming, and troubleshooting of Beckhoff PLC systems using Structured Text (ST) and Function Block (FB) languages.
- Architect and develop SCADA / HMI applications integrated with MS Access or SQL databases for data logging, reporting, and analytics.
- Design, optimize, and validate machine automation sequences, control logic, and interlocks for reliable and efficient operation.
- Execute and lead testing, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities at factory and customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve complex software, hardware, and field-level automation issues.
- Review automation designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and crossfunctional teams.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including software design specifications, user manuals, validation documents, and reports.
- Collaborate closely with electrical design, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support customers during installation, commissioning, and postimplementation phases.
- Ensure automation solutions comply with safety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
Required Technical Skills & Expertise
- 8–10 years of handson experience in industrial automation systems.
- Strong expertise in Beckhoff PLC programming.
- Advanced proficiency in Structured Text (ST) and Function Block (FB) programming.
- Proven experience in SCADA/HMI development with database integration (MS Access / SQL).
- Solid knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit wiring.
- Strong understanding of field sensors, actuators, drives, control components, and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in system debugging, performance optimization, and lifecycle support.

Educational Qualification
