Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation QA Analyst with deep expertise in Playwright automation testing and strong working knowledge of Selenium-based frameworks. The ideal candidate will lead the development and maintenance of scalable automated testing solutions for modern web applications while integrating testing into our CI/CD pipelines.

This role is critical in driving product quality, accelerating release cycles, and establishing best-in-class automation practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Development

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.

End-to-End & Cross-Browser Testing

Create and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple browsers and devices.

CI/CD Integration

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Web Application Testing

Validate modern web applications, APIs, and user workflows to ensure performance, reliability, and seamless user experiences.

Collaboration

Work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to define testing strategies and quality standards.

Defect Analysis & Reporting

Investigate automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and provide detailed defect reports with actionable insights.

Code Quality & Best Practices

Develop reusable automation components, maintain coding standards, and implement QA best practices for sustainable automation.

Mentorship & Leadership

Guide junior QA engineers on automation strategies, Playwright implementation, debugging, and testing methodologies.

Continuous Improvement

Evaluate emerging automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and execution speed.

Required Skills & Experience

Playwright Expertise (Mandatory)

Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks and automated test suites using Playwright.

Selenium Knowledge

Good understanding and practical experience with Selenium WebDriver and legacy automation frameworks.

Programming/Scripting Skills

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python for automation scripting.

Test Automation Frameworks

Experience with modern testing frameworks such as:

• Playwright Test
• PyTest
• Jest
• Mocha
• TestNG

CI/CD Experience

Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using:

• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• GitLab CI/CD
• Azure DevOps

API Testing

Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as:

• Postman
• REST Assured
• Playwright API Testing

Version Control

Experience working with Git-based workflows and collaborative development environments.

Testing Expertise

Strong understanding of:

• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke Testing
• Cross-Browser Testing
• End-to-End Testing
• API Testing

Analytical & Debugging Skills

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis capabilities.

Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized test execution
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Locust
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Experience testing React, Angular, or modern SPA applications
