Our services span the full project lifecycle from development strategy and engineering through to power market operations. We are expanding our existing advisory practice across the United States and United Kingdom, working with developers, investors, and asset owners navigating complex grid and market environments.

Role Overview

SunStripe is seeking a Talent Acquisition professional with demonstrated expertise in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end recruitment across the organisation, with a strong emphasis on sourcing niche technical and commercial profiles. This role requires a recruiter who understands the RE landscape the companies, the career pathways, the functional specialisations, and where talent concentrates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all SunStripe hiring from role scoping and job design through to screening, assessment, and offer management
  • Develop and maintain a structured talent map across the Indian and international renewable energy market, covering consultancies, developers, IPPs, EPCs, OEMs, grid operators, O&M firms.
  • Conduct targeted, proactive sourcing utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, industry events, and direct outreach rather than relying primarily on inbound applications
  • Design and apply technically informed screening frameworks for roles spanning solar/wind/BESS engineering, grid operations, energy markets, project finance, and techno-commercial advisory
  • Identify and close common screening gaps including candidates with strong titles but weak fundamentals, or strong practitioners who present poorly on paper
  • Build relationships with RE professionals over the long term, maintaining a warm pipeline ahead of active requirements
  • Advise hiring managers on market compensation benchmarks, candidate availability, and realistic hiring timelines within the renewable energy talent landscape
  • Support employer branding efforts to position SunStripe as a destination employer within the specialist RE community.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 37 years of recruitment experience, with a significant portion focused on the renewable energy, power, or energy infrastructure sector
  • Strong working knowledge of the US, UK & Indian RE ecosystem EPCs, grid companies, and emerging BESS players
  • Demonstrated ability to assess technical profiles in areas such as solar/wind engineering, BESS integration, grid operations, energy settlement, or project development
  • Proficiency in proactive sourcing techniques and Boolean search; experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent tools
  • Ability to identify screening blind spots including over-reliance on keywords, misread career transitions, and inability to distinguish generalists from genuine specialists
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable advising senior leadership on hiring decisions
  • High degree of organisation and process discipline capable of managing multiple searches simultaneously without loss of quality

Preferred

  • Prior experience recruiting for or within a consultancy, advisory firm, or asset management company in the energy sector
  • Familiarity with international RE markets (US, UK, Europe) is advantageous
  • Exposure to hiring for energy market, settlement, or revenue assurance functions
