Roles & Responsibilities :

Master Data Creation & Maintenance

  • Create, update, and maintain SAP MM master data objects including:

. Material Master (Basic, Purchasing, MRP, Accounting, Warehouse)

. Vendor Master

. Purchasing Info Records, Source Lists

. Conditions (Pricing), BOM (if applicable)

  • Ensure adherence to data standards and templates.

  • Perform data validation and accuracy checks before upload.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Support

  • Support purchasing transactions impacted by master data issues.

  • Troubleshoot PO errors related to vendor, pricing, and info records.

  • Work closely with Procurement & AP teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Ensure correct tax codes, payment terms, Incoterms, and partner functions

Data Governance & Quality

  • Ensure master data quality checks, error corrections, and cleansing activities.

  • Implement data quality rules and monitor key data quality KPIs.

Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provide Level-2 support for master data issues across MM processes.

  • Troubleshoot data issues and coordinate with functional/technical teams.

Automation & Tools

  • Use tools like IDocs, SAP Data Services or legacy Excel macros for data loads.

  • Build and maintain templates for mass uploads.

  • Support automation of repetitive master data tasks.

Documentation & Training

  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, SOPs, checklists.

  • Conduct knowledge sharing and end-user training for master data processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams.

  • Coordinate with offshore/onshore delivery teams in services projects.


Qualifications

Educational qualification:

  • B.E, B.Sc - Computer Science / Electronics. BBM,

  • SAP MM Certification (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience :

SAP MM - 2 to 3 years hands-on working experience

Mandatory/requires Skills :
Core Skills

Strong exposure to MM Master Data objects (Material, Vendor, Info Records, Conditions)
Experience in master data creation, data governance, data quality and bulk uploads
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot, macros optional)
Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes

Desirable

SAP and SAP S/4HANA exposure
Experience in Shared Services / Global delivery model
Experience working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA)
Exposure to data governance frameworks
