Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Associate/Principal Associate in the Corporate/Private Equity Venture Capital practice, located in Bengaluru. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, advising clients on corporate law matters, managing private equity and venture capital transactions, and conducting due diligence. The role entails guiding investors and startups, businesses through structuring investments, drafting shareholder agreements, and assisting in regulatory and compliance issues. Additionally, the candidate will mentor junior associates and collaborate with cross-functional teams for complex legal projects.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Corporate Law, Private Equity, and Venture Capital, particularly in drafting and negotiating transactional documentation like shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements, and investment agreements.
  • Strong skills in Contract Management, Corporate Governance, and advising on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Experience in conducting extensive Due Diligence, including identifying and addressing legal risks during mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Demonstrable capability in handling International Commercial Arbitration and Cross-Border Strategic Litigation, along with strong problem-solving abilities in other dispute-related domains.
  • Excellent organizational, research, communication, and client management skills with the ability to thrive in team collaboration and independent decision-making.
  • Prior experience with a law firm, international law firm, or other legal consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution;.
