The Team

Due to tremendous demand within the region, we are looking to hire Senior Associate level candidates in our Operational Tax Practice in Singapore. Our Operational Tax Practice covers Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Common Reporting Standard (CRS), Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and Qualified Intermediary (QI) regimes. This position will lead and/or execute a diverse range of complex implementation and remediation projects as well as provide advice on FATCA, CRS, CARF and QI matters for a range of Financial Institutions and Crypto-Asset service providers. The candidate will also work closely with the regulators and our teams in Singapore and overseas to provide FATCA, CRS, CARF and QI support to the world's largest and most high-profile financial institutions and Crypto-Asset service providers.

How You Will Contribute

  • Assist with advisory assignments, including but not limited to entity and product classification, health-check and controversy management.
  • Support clients with their end-to-end FATCA, CRS and CARF compliance.
  • Identify changes in regulations and assist clients in driving impact assessment of regulatory changes.
  • Engage with the regulators to contribute to timely and practical feedback to shape new regulations.
  • Contribute to various thought leadership publications relating to tax updates and various marketing campaigns to amplify the A&M brand, particularly in the Operational Tax space.

Qualifications


We are looking for someone with strong fundamentals, good judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly. Prior experience in private capital or asset management tax is helpful, but not essential. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in tax / audit in the financial services space
  • Strong analytical ability, with the capacity to understand complex structures, identify key issues, and apply tax principles in a practical and commercial way.
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured client deliverables.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with an interest in learning about financial services sector, crypto-asset services sector and tax transparency.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas would be helpful: tax advisory/compliance, audit in the financial services space.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate with different stakeholders, and work to client timelines.
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and growing practice.
