We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the
Advisory team in our
India office.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
YOUR TEAM.
This position will support our Advisory team and the Senior Associate – CFO Advisory (Controllership) will support clients in strengthening their accounting, financial reporting, and controllership processes.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Review and analyze client books of accounts to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
- Apply strong accounting knowledge, particularly in accrual-based accounting, including conversion of financials from cash basis to accrual basis.
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and substantiation for balance sheet and income statement items.
- Execute and support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reviews.
- Develop comprehensive and well-documented audit-ready workpapers in line with standard documentation practices.
- Apply sound understanding of audit procedures across key account balances to support financial statement integrity.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex accounting issues through analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understand client requirements and design appropriate work plans, timelines, and procedures for efficient project execution.
- Collaborate and act as a key liaison between clients, auditors, and internal teams, including onshore and offshore stakeholders, to ensure timely delivery and alignment.
Your Experience.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with practical understanding of accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and balance sheet substantiation.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP; and financial audit procedures is preferred.
- Ability to prepare structured, comprehensive, and audit-ready workpapers.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and execute work plans effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across client, audit, onshore, and offshore teams.
