Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Senior Associate to support the delivery of accounting and advisory services across a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US accounting principles, hands-on experience with tools such as QuickBooks and Bill.com, and a strong foundation in Record to Report (R2R) processes, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. This role requires a proactive approach to client service, strong communication skills, and the ability to support junior staff while contributing to high-quality financial deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily accounting operations for multiple client accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Execute Record to Report (R2R) processes including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc financial data.
  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, AP, AR, intercompany, etc.).
  • Maintain financial data using QuickBooks Online/Desktop and integrated platforms such as Bill.com.
  • Support client engagements by understanding their operations and delivering meaningful financial insights.
  • Collaborate with Managers to address client queries and implement accounting best practices.
  • Review the work of junior team members and provide guidance as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable financial regulations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with tax teams to support year-end close and tax compliance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA preferred).
  • 36 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Bill.com, Microsoft Excel, and related tools.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and R2R processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Prior experience in a public accounting or advisory environment is a plus.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and process enhancement.
