Senior Associate/Manager - Assurance - Ahmedabad

Our corporate office is based in Ahmedabad, and the firm specializes in Statutory Audit, Issuer Audits, Forensic Accounting, Management Assurance, Cross-Border Taxation, and Management Consulting.

Role Overview

We are looking to hire a Senior Associate/Manager to manage assurance engagements of our international clients. The role primarily involves executing audit assignments in accordance with the ISA/PCAOB standards.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage audit engagements for companies and other issuers in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)/PCAOB standards.
  • Liaise with the Engagement Quality Reviewer (EQR) and Engagement partner to ensure compliance with audit quality and documentation standards.
  • Supervise, guide, and review the work of the engagement team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit quality.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss progress, key findings, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive working papers documenting procedures and conclusions at both financial statement and assertion levels.
  • Evaluate internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting practices to identify and address audit risks.
  • Ensure timely completion of audits while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and quality.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering technical growth and adherence to firm and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake other assurance and ad hoc assignments, including due diligence, transaction advisory, structuring advisory, and agreed-upon procedures, assistance in preparation of consolidation file, etc., while supporting the leadership team in the firm's strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in English are required, as the role involves regular client interaction.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
  • Working knowledge of audit methodologies, preferably with experience in ISA/PCAOB compliant audits.
  • Comfort and familiarity with UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
  • ACCA members (or equivalent) with international audit experience, or ACCA students/affiliates with a minimum of 2 years of audit experience (as part of 3 years training towards membership).
  • Willingness to work from our Ahmedabad office.
