Job Description Area Sales Manager
Business Division: (As Applicable)
Base Location: Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala
Territory Coverage: Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod & Malappuram
Designation: Area Sales Manager
Role Objective
To drive sales growth and strengthen market leadership across North Kerala by managing channel partners, leading a team of Sales Executives, and developing strong relationships with dealers, distributors, carpenters, fabricators, contractors, and key influencers in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 3 Sales Executives across the assigned districts
Drive primary and secondary sales to achieve monthly and annual targets
Develop and expand dealer and distributor network
Appoint new channel partners and strengthen existing relationships
Guide team in engaging carpenters, fabricators, contractors, and influencers to generate demand
Monitor collections and ensure healthy outstanding control
Execute sales schemes, promotions, and market activation activities
Ensure visibility, branding, and display standards across markets
Track competitor activities and share structured market intelligence
Conduct regular joint market visits and performance reviews
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly MIS and performance reports
Coordinate with internal departments for smooth order processing and dispatch
Candidate Profile
58 years of experience in field sales within building materials or allied industries
Minimum 12 Years Of Team Handling Experience
Strong exposure to channel sales and distribution management
Proven track record of target achievement
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Willingness for extensive travel within territory
Strong knowledge of North Kerala market preferred
Preferred Industry Exposure
Building Materials, Plywood, Laminates, uPVC / PVC / WPC, Sanitaryware, Pipes & Fittings, Construction Materials
