Job Summary
The Senior Area Sales Manager will work to achieve ambitious sales targets and expand market share within a designated geographical area. This role requires a strategic thinker and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry.
Job Responsibilities
. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned area.
. Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key customers, including hospitals, clinics, healthcare professionals, and distributors.
. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
. Manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and accurately report on sales performance to senior management.
. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, as well as relevant healthcare regulations.
. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize sales efforts and customer satisfaction.
. Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize sales efficiency and profitability.
. Conduct regular field visits to support sales efforts, attending OTs and gather market insights.
. Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
Job Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the healthcare or medical device industry
. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
. Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including regulatory environment and distribution channels.
. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
. Proficiency in MS Office
. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
