Role: Senior Architect

Location: Bandra, Mumbai

Timings: Monday - Saturday, 10 to 7

Overview:

We are looking for an architect with 3-5 years of experience who is passionate about design and has a genuine interest in luxury residential architecture and villa projects. The role calls for someone who can move comfortably between design thinking and technical resolution, from developing a concept and exploring a façade to resolving a detail and seeing it through on site.

Responsibilities

* Developing architectural concepts and design proposals for luxury villas and residences.

* Translating design intent into precise plans, sections, elevations and detailed drawings.

* Developing architectural details with a strong understanding of materials, construction and craftsmanship.

* Working on façade development, material palettes, proportions and architectural elements.

* Coordinating with structural, MEP, landscape, interior and other consultants.

* Preparing and managing detailed drawing packages through various stages of the project.

* Attending site visits and working closely with contractors and consultants to resolve design and execution issues.

* Reviewing drawings and site work to ensure that the design intent and quality are maintained.

* Taking ownership of assigned projects and deliverables from design development through execution.

* Working closely with junior architects and contributing to the overall design process of the studio.

Qualifications:

* 3–5 years of professional architectural experience.

* A strong interest in luxury residential and villa architecture.

* A refined design sensibility and an appreciation for proportion, materiality and detail.

* Strong architectural drawing and detailing skills.

* A good understanding of construction and how design translates into built form.

* The ability to think independently, take ownership and solve problems creatively.

* An eye for quality and a willingness to push a design beyond the expected.

* Good communication and coordination skills.

Software

• AutoCAD proficiency is essential.
• Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Photoshop, Revit or other relevant design software will be an advantage.

Beyond experience and software skills, we are looking for someone who is curious, design-driven and detail-oriented. Someone who notices the way a material meets another, understands the importance of proportion, enjoys drawing and detailing, and is equally comfortable discussing a design idea as they are resolving it on site.
