Senior Architect

The Senior Architect will get to lead our efforts in bringing about this change all the while getting an exposure to and working with worldwide stalwarts and leaders in these technologies.

About the role: Senior Architect will be responsible for visualising and designing exemplar passive solar heated buildings that besides serving their purpose at HIAL will also be prototypes for the world to learn from while keeping the energy needs and cost at control. S/He is expected to design and execute RD to achieve these goals and liaison with the enterprise arm to develop ready to deploy designs. Additionally, s/he will have an eye to ensure correct implementation of the design on ground in while sticking with timelines and cost constraints. With research bend of mind, he/she will be contributing towards RD in construction field.

Responsibilities: 1.Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
2.Visualises and make designs of building, ensure accuracy of the drawings
3.Ensuring correctness in execution of the drawings.
4.Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for HIAL management review and approval.
5.Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
6.Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
7.Responsible for projects success and thus will be ensuring risk and mitigating them for correctness.
8.Define clear roles and responsibilities in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.
9.Processing of design on site
11.Prepare and supervise all the needed documents properly throughout the project life cycle until the project close and handed over.
12.Adhere to organisation safety policy and promote safety work culture.
13.Coordinate with the project team to formulate the most cost-effective plans.
14.Inspect the construction site to ensure the appropriate level of quality control in all the phases.
15.Communicate and coordinate with structural engineers to ensure structural fidelity.
16.Coordinate with contractors, and all other stakeholders.
17.Report to the Project Manager and ensuring correctness of BOQ.
18.Responsible for timely completion of the projects while working in coordination with project manager.
19 Responsible for relatable RD with SHEON projects in the spear of work.
20.Handle any kind of disputes and claims that may arise.
21.Designing a team structure and maintain a healthy productive team.
22.Document and Maintain records of all construction dates and project costs.
23.Perform the tasks delegated by the Senior Management and other responsibilities that helps HIAL grow.
24.Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
25.Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Educational Background: 1.Bachelor s Degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Licensed architect with green building experience will be given preference
3.Understanding of Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, photoshop or other 3D modelling software that enables effective communication of design
4. Knowledge of sustainable infrastructure
5.Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements

Preferred Work Experience: 1.5+ years of relevant work experience.
2.Knowledge of Sustainable Infrastructure like Rammed Earth and other such sustainable earth building will be an added experience
3.Prior design and implementation of design experience
4.Professionalism in collaborating with team members across multiple disciplines
5.Strong verbal and written skills
6.A keen eye for composition, colour and layout
